Luis Arnulfo Tuberquia, alias Memín, former ringleader of the so called Bloc “Bloque Occidente” from the Self Defense Forces and Aldides de Jesús Durango, alias René, former ringleader of the so called Bloc “Bloque Suroeste Antioqueño” agreed to a plea bargain and therefore, they were sentenced to 4 years and 1 month in prison for displacement of more than 250 people in 11 municipalities in the Department of Antioquia.
Facts took place between 1998 and 1999 in areas such as Urrao, Caicedo, Caramanta, Andes, La Pintada, Betania, Tarso, Salgar, Jericó, Betulia and Pueblo Rico in which victims, all of them peasants, were forced to abandon their lands since they were considered as guerrilla´s assistants.
