Interim Attorney General, Jorge Fernando Perdomo Torres, held a meeting with a delegation from Spain which was led by the Ministry of Justice in Spain, Rafael Catalá and the Ambassador from Spain, Ramón Gandarias in order to make progress with the issue of judicial cooperation in regards to post conflict.

At the meeting, the Interim Attorney General expressed his gratitude for trusting government and judicial authorities in Colombia to work jointly in issues such as transitional justice and organized crime.

Perdomo Torres described this cooperation as “a bilateral and fluid relationship that we build everyday” in which Colombia has extradited 77 people to that country and Spain has in turn extradited 20 people to Colombian territory with the same purpose.
