As a result of a joint operation between the Judicial Police Division from Criminal Investigation Team (CTI) in Cauca and National Army, 15 alleged members of 5 criminal gangs involved in micro drug trafficking in the municipality of Sotará (Cauca) were arrested.
Arrest warrants issued by a judge (juez promiscuo*) in Sotará were conducted during 12 home searches ordered by the Office of the Attorney General.
According to the Office of the Attorney General, the suspects have committed this illegal activity (micro drug trafficking) for 15 years by using minors to sell and distribute drugs.
