The 3rd Specialized Circuit Court in Antioquia sentenced former militiamen who belonged to the so called Casa Castaño Mario Alberto Álvarez Porras, alias Macario or Roberto, and Manuel Salvador Ospina Cifuentes, alias Móvil Cinco or Juancho to 36 years in prison for the murder of 43 people in a small town named Pueblo Bello in Turbo (Antioquia).
Álvarez Porras and Ospina Cifuentes were sentenced for 35 forced disappearances, 8 aggravated murders, torture and terrorism offenses. Due to a plea bargain agreement, a 40 % of the sentence was reduced.
