The National Prosecutor Office specialized in Anti-Corruption is conducting 1259 investigations against 1015 public servants who were elected last October for holding positions from 2016 to 2020 in Councils, Assemblies, Mayor´s Offices and Governor´s Offices. Different offenses were committed and include those against public administration.
According to figures provided by the Office against corruption, there are 108 cases related to failure to pay alimony, 80 cases related to illegal contracting, 64 of embezzlement and breach of public duty (47 action and 17 omission).
