Colombian Attorney General, Eduardo Montealegre Lynett, informed that despite the fact that individual liabilities have not been determined yet, initial investigations let to establish that illegal wiretappings and interceptions concerning Vicky Dávila and her colleagues were conducted by National Police.

In the current case, the Attorney General explained that this type of wiretappings or interceptions cannot be conducted by any person since these are proceedings that require certain expertise.

In this respect, the Attorney General announced that  journalists who were mentioned in the anonymous communications and several senior police officers will be summoned, as witnesses, in order to determine how intelligence division in that institution operates and whether there are illegal facades in order to conduct wiretappings.
