At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, the 59th Criminal Court in Bogotá with supervisory functions “control de garantías” legalized the arrest warrant against businessman Víctor Benjamín Maldonado Rodríguez for the offenses of fund-raising, aggravated swindle, refusal to refund the money.
According to the bill of indictment, Maldonado Rodriguez is criminally linked to alleged illegal operations that led to Interbolsa S.A’ bankruptcy which forced the State to intervene in 2012.
According to the prosecuting party and the judge in charge of the case, the defendant´s integrity, his right to a dignified treatment and due process were respected when he entered Colombia.
