The National Office of the Accusatory Legal System for the Office of the Attorney General carried out the first academic session concerning trainers in cassation (in spanish I Jornada de Formadores de Casación) from november 25 to 27, in order to train 50 prosecutors of the whole country in that issue, as well as, to identity difficulties in the judicial system which have an impact on the institutional performance reduction, on victims’ rights observance and fulfillment of State´s international responsibilities regarding human rights.
At the head table were Camilo Burbano, National Director of the Accusatory Legal System and Inter-institutional Coordination in Legal Matters; Eberto Rodríguez, a Delegate Prosecutor before the Supreme Court; and José Luis Barceló, President of the Criminal Chamber for the Supreme Court of Justice.
