239 arrests for disappearances, murders, displacements and multiple crimes committed between April 2014 and February 2015 in Buenaventura Port (Valle del Cauca) were the figures revealed by the Attorney General, Eduardo Montealegre Lynett, in a meeting with the Human Rights Watch President, Joel Motley, and director of Human Rights Watch’s Americas division, José Miguel Vivanco.

The main purpose of the meeting was to analyze the high rate of human rights violations in the Port, find out new strategies to stop citizen´s dismemberments   and strengthen the State presence in the region.
