Eleven alleged members of a criminal organization engaged in trafficking drugs to Asiatic countries through drug couriers were arrested in November 18 by CTI officers from Risaralda as part of the so called Sol Naciente operation conducted in Cali (Valle del Cauca), Armenia (Quindio) and Pereira (Risaralda).
According to the investigation conducted by the 54th Prosecutor Office belonging to the Antidrug and Money Laundering Specialized National Directorate, the organization used people to transport drugs. The transit routes were Panamá, Peru or Ecuador, arriving Brazil with a layover in Dubai with final destination Hong Kong and Kunming (China) and cities in Singapore and Thailand.
