On Thursday, the Attorney General’s Office, Eduardo Montealegre Lynett, inaugurated the Center for Legal and Integral Assistance to victims (in Spanish Centro de Atención Penal Integral a Víctimas (Capiv))in Bogotá.

This headquarters, located in the area of Paloquemao is the result of a joint work between national and district entities to assure victims of crimes to have access to justice.

Public servants from the Attorney General´s Office, from the National Police, National Institute of Legal Medicine, Colombian Family Welfare Institute ICBF, the Ombudsman’s office, Mayor´s Office in Bogotá will offer the necessary assistance and accompaniment to meet people´s needs.

Bogotá´s mayor, Gustavo Petro, the director of Unit for Assistance and Reparation to victims, Paula Gaviria, among other representatives of public and private institutions attended this event.

Capiv has been  consolidated as a response to the institution’s commitment to peace and victims.
