Eight people who were alleged members of a transnational criminal organization engaged in drug trafficking were sent to prison pursuant decision made by  the 35th Municipal Criminal Court with supervisory functions in Medellin (Antioquia).

According to the investigation conducted by the 40 Prosecutor´s Office from the Specialized National Directorate in Antinarcotics and Money Laundering, this organization trafficked high quality marijuana (cripy type) by coordinating its sea transportation in go-fast boats from Centro America through countries like  Panamá, Costa Rica and  México to the United States as its final destination.
