Members from the Support Team (in spanish Estructura de Apoyo (EDA)) in Tumaco belonging to the Judicial Police Directorate against Organized Crime (PCO) with support of the Army destroyed an illegal factory used to refine hydrocarbons in a traditional way. These hydrocarbons were stolen from the OTA oil pipeline located in a forest and deserted area near Tumaco- Pasto (Nariño) road.
There were found 220 crude oil gallons in a metal container called by criminals as “marciano” that consists of four cans with a capacity of 55 gallons each that would have been stolen from the Trans-Andean pipeline.
This refinery belonged to Daniel Aldana Mobile Column from Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC) which harassed the Judicial Police when they were taking people out the area. There was not a report of injured people during this operative.
