Benito Antonio Osorio Villadiego who worked as manager of Fondo Ganadero de Córdoba between 1997- 2007 and governor in the same region, pled guilty to the charges of aggravated conspiracy, aggravated money laundering; deportation, expulsion, transfer or forced displacement of civilians; destruction and appropriation of protected properties; use of front men.
According to the investigation, Osorio Villadiego in association with Sor Teresa Gómez Álvarez belonging to Castaño Clan conspired to dispossess the lands of more than 100 peasant families in Córdoba and Urabá under false pretenses and through false title deeds in order to legalize and transfer them to Fondo Ganadero de Córdoba.
