Crimes committed by human rights defenders in Antioquia were considered as war crimes and crimes against humanity

The Attorney General’s Office decided to consider as crimes against humanity those crimes committed by Luis Felipe Vélez Herrera, president of Asociación de Institutores de Antioquia (ADIDA) and human rights defender; by Héctor Abad Gómez and Leonardo Betancur Taborda, president and deputy president, respectively, for the Human Rights Defense in Antioquia (in Spanish Comité Permanente para la Defensa de los Derechos Humanos de Antioquia).
