Jhon Édison Bedoya Higinio who was arrested by CTI members belonging to the Regional Office in Caldas pled guilty before a judge with supervisory functions (juez de garantías) on charges of attempted murder and theft of a person’s belongings, member of the LGBT community in the city of Manizales.
The 20th Regional Prosecutor´s Office requested the 8th Criminal Judge with supervisory functions (control de garantías) to arrest Bedoya Higinio since it was established, according to investigation, that in august 2014 through a social nertwork and using a false name, he had a virtual relationship with a member of the LGBT community and after he arranged a date and met him, he convinced him in order to go to a hotel where he stole his belongings and hit him causing injuries that put his life at risk.
