The 10th Criminal Circuit Court in Medellín sentenced John Edison Cuadros Echavarría, alias Cuadros, member of the criminal gang Cañada Negra to 50 years in prison for the murder of José Alberto Giraldo Vidal, aka Chepe and personal injuries caused to Héctor Javier Sánchez Vidal aka Pichi.
The incident occurred in Playón de Los Comuneros neighborhood on June 5, 2011 in Medellín, when several men, including the accused person, followed Giraldo Vidal, a 36 years old man, and killed him by using firearms. Sanchez Vidal, a 33 years old man was injured.
