The 23th Municipal Criminal Judge in Bogotá with supervisory functions “control de garantías” upheld the principle of opportunity “Principio de Oportunidad” announced by the Attorney General´s Office concerning Jorge Arabia Wartenberg, former financial vice president of Interbolsa.
During the hearing, the judge supported the 1st Specialized Prosecutor´s Office request regarding the dismissal of a criminal prosecution against the former official for two years. Time during which he will serve as a witness in favor of the Attorney General´s Office in all and each process against at least 45 people that would have responsibility for the Interbolsa financial setback.
