After the Court approved the plea bargain between the defendant’s defense and the prosecutor in the case, the 2nd Specialized Circuit Court in Medellin sentenced Lucía Inés Cifuentes Villa to eleven (11) years and six (6) months in prison for being a member of a drug trafficking network which exported cocaine from Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico to the United States.
The 56 years old man pled guilty to the charges of drug trafficking conspiracy brought by a Specialized Prosecutor from the Specialized National Directorate on Money laundering and Antidrug. This person was arrested on March 25th as a result of an operative carried out by the Attorney General´s Office and the National Police authorities in the cities of Medellin, Pereira and Pasto.
