A preventive detention order with imprisonment was issued against five Costa Rican citizens for aggravated trafficking, manufacture, possession of 1,536 kilos of marijuana after they were intercepted by a Navy patrol boat at meridian 82 in Colombian waters.
The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges brought by the Attorney General´s Office during a hearing before the Third Municipal Court of mixed jurisdiction “Juzgado Promiscuo” in San Andres.
