The Attorney General’s Office led some sessions in San Francisco (Antioquia) in order to render assistance to victims from guerrilla and paramilitary groups. More than 1.100 people who was affected by crimes such as disappearance, abduction and forced displacement between years 1998 and 2004 participated at this event.

The session which took place on august 20 and 22 in the Municipal Coliseum, counted on the participation of Municipal Mayor´s Office, Inspector General´s Office, The Ombudsman’s office, Unit for Victims Assistance and Reparation, Governance Office of Antioquia and Office of the Local Solicitor General.

Also in representation of the Attorney General´s Office assisted the Human Identification Unit, National Subdirectorate for assistance of victims and users, Team on Non Identified and Disappeared People and Transitional Justice (Justicia Transicional).

This interagency activity allowed the location of a person who disappeared in 1975 and three children who were recruited and killed by the National Liberation Army (ELN). Also families who were victims of forced displacement who are currently settled down in Bolivar and Valle del Cauca departments received assistance.

According to the Attorney General´s Office registries there are 160 disappeared people in the municipality of San Francisco; most of them are children who were recruited by Illegal Armed Groups that acted in the region.
