A preventive detention order was issued against the Mayor of Cantagallo (Bolívar) due to a rebellion offense

A preventive detention order with imprisonment was issued against Janeth Ester Cortés Díaz, Mayor in Cantagallo (Bolívar), by a supervisory judge “control de garantías” due to a rebellion offense.

The official was arrested in Barrancabermeja (Santander) by police officers last Tuesday and the legalization of her arrest was carried out in Bucaramanga on Wednesday.

The Attorney General´s Office is investigating the above mentioned representative who was elected for the conservative party. She is under investigation for her alleged links with  34^th  FARC´s Front. Cortés Díaz will remain in a prison in Bucaramanga.
