This morning, Ángela María Giraldo Cadavid denounced four people (identities not determined) to the Attorney General’s Office since offensive messages have been circulating through social networks due to a photograph where she appears greeting a state representative for negotiations with FARC.
Giraldo Cadavid, sister of the murdered Deputy of Valle del Cauca Francisco Giraldo, traveled to Habana (Cuba) as representative of victims from FARC in relation to the kidnapping and murder of 11 representatives in Valle del Cauca.
The Attorney General, Eduardo Montealegre Lynett ordered to begin the proper investigations concerning the above mentioned people for insult, false accusation, discrimination and aggravated harassment.
Angela Maria Giraldo was provided with security by the Attorney General´s Office Protection Team.
Simultaneously, the Attorney General Office ordered to submit certified copies to the Supreme Court of Justice in order to investigate the eventual liability of Maria Fernanda Cabal from the House of Representatives, for the facts stated at the criminal complaint.
The Attorney General’s Office is committed to ensure that victims, specifically those victims of conflict, will not become victims again. For This Reason the Attorney General´s Office will create a special team which will be integrated by Prosecutors and a Special Investigation Team from CTI Directorate.
