The court refused to release alleged kidnappers of a businessman involved in the business of cellphones

The 72nd Court in Bogotá, with supervisory functions, approved the arguments of the Attorney General Office and denied the release of the four alleged kidnappers of John Edward Palacio requested by the defense. The businessman is an authorized distributor of mobile phones and electrical appliances.

The prosecuting authority warned that the elements that generated the preventive detention order still prevail. Such elements are: To be a danger for society, the seriousness of the offense, and the possibility that due process may be affected as a result of their release.
