A preventive detention order was issued against the alleged person who killed a police officer

The 7th Municipal Criminal Court in Bogotá, with supervisory functions, issued a preventive detention order against Diego Ospino Hoyos, alias El Costeño for aggravated murder.

During a public hearing, the 322Regional Prosecutor from URI* of Puente Aranda pointed out that alias “el Costeño” would be the person who injured the 18 years old police officer David Alejandro Vargas Rodríguez by using a sharp object on june 28 at La Favorita neighborhood, street 18^th number 14-37. The officer allegedly detained the defendant as he was in possession of a sharp object.
