An accounting assistant was convicted of swindling a commercial establishment

At the request of the 14th Regional Prosecutor in Pereira, the Fourth Circuit Court of that city sentenced María Elena García Gómez to six years in prison for the crime of misrepresentation of acts in a private document and aggravated theft.

The decision was based on the facts which occurred on January 2006 when García Gómez unlawfully took $ 133.620.000  million pesos belonging to the company where he worked as an accounting assistant.
