15 families in Yopal received remains of their loved ones

In the city of Yopal, the National Directorate for Transitional Justice through the Exhumation Group from the General Attorney Office handed over a total of 15 corpses (Casanare) to the families of the victims of FARC, ELN and AUC members which operated in that area from 1985 to 2005.

The exhumation of the remains were possible thanks to information supplied by the families of the victims and in one case, by a Postulado in the Justice and Peace Law who confessed the fact and gave information about the coordinates where the victims were buried.
*Postulados: demobilized members of illegal armed groups who postulated to obtain a benefit from the Justice and Peace Law.
