The Attorney General Office feels sorry about Felix Horacio García Vargas death which happened this weekend. He worked as Prosecutor 122, assigned to the Regional Office in Medellin.
The facts which are being investigated by the Prosecutor 202 from URI*, happened at the municipalities of Copacabana and Guarne (Antioquia). The authorities found inside three bags, the dismembered body of the public servant.
After a corpse examination, the National Institute of Legal Medicine was able to establish the full identity of the victim who had disappeared between may 30 and 31.
It was carried out a home search at a building located at 50 Street 57 Avenue in Medellin thanks to information supplied by a human source. As a result, SIJIN officials found the identification as prosecutor of the institution from García Vargas.
Today, SIJIN investigators arrested a man who will appear before a supervisory judge, as the alleged responsible for the offense of forced disappearance.
