The 14 municipal criminal judge of Bogotá, with guarantees control function, sheltered with security measures in prison and home detention to 18 members of the gang known as Los Gordos, dedicated to cars theft of medium and high range.

The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that the alleged members of the band had taken during 2013 at least 80 vehicles whose approximate cost is 1500 million pesos.

The band was a very sophisticated organization. Engaged in the theft of vehicles in the capital of the country, especially in the North of the city, where men and women calling by cell phone to a man who was driving a taxi were located. The latter was responsible for pointing the site and where there was a suitable automotive to be stolen.

Then, these people were there and took the car. After the theft, they kept it in the houses of the members of the band then negotiate it and sell it for 7 or 8 million.

Allegedly being responsible for charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, qualified theft and receptation aggravated, were sent to Modelo national jail José Yairton Salazar Ruiz, Eduardo Pamo Camacho, Israel Gil Torres, Jose Libardo Pacheco Garcia, Sebastian Fuertes Romero, Wílman Javier Anzola González, Germán Molano Arevalo, Jorge Alquidio Ospina Arias, Javier Eduardo Ortíz Camargo, Luis Fernando López Ortega, Pedro Stiven Castle Patricia, Hugo Andres Velasquez Muñoz, Gustavo Enrique Gordillo Freddy Sain, Garzón Garzón Ramírez and Jesús Oswaldo Toro Mateus.

To Buen Pastor prison was sent Yuri Carrillo Aracelli Borda, while under house arrest were sheltered Solanyi García Gómez and William Fernando Alvarado Benitez.
