By forming an organization supposedly dedicated to obtaining coca base to transform in cocaine hydrochloride on the Catatumbo (Norte de Santander) and transported to Santa Marta (Magdalena) 17 people were affected with security measures at the request of the Attorney for the Sixth guarantees control function court of Magdalena capital.

According to the investigation by the 15 Attorney of National Anti-Narcotics Unit and Maritime Interdiction (Unaim), the substance after being taken in different vehicles to this city, has destined to Venezuela.

Those affected by the decision were identified as Yonnis Jair Velásquez Escobar, Arnoldo Núñez Cuao, Hernán Flórez Archila, Antonio Flórez Archila, Anseilmo Flórez Archila, William Alfonso Mejía, Ingrid Johana Díaz Yepes, Armando Jose Arias Carvajalino, Alexander Dávila Graciano, Tania Lizet Boto Manga, José Danilo Oviedo, Carlos Julio Piñeros Alfonso, Wilman Alfonso Velásquez, José Martín Prado Prado, Carmen Jesus Ortega clear, Juan Arisoto Rivera Castro and Luis Manuel Núñez Cuao.

These people were captured in Monterrey operation development with support from the Anti-Narcotics National Police this October 30 in Santa Marta, Barranquilla (Atlantico), Maicao (La Guajira) and Ocaña (Norte de Santander). During the procedure the authorities seized 486 grams of cocaine.

Now defendants not raided to the charges that the Prosecutor charged them for the crime of concert to commit a crime aggravated and manufacture, trafficking or aggravated narcotics possession. All remain deprived of freedom in a prison center, except Diaz Yepes and Boto Manga, whom the judge granted to home arrest.
