The Fifth Municipal Criminal Court of Buga, with guarantees control functions, issued security measure against five people, including four members of the National Police for alleged links to a charterers gang, in that population.

According to the research coordinated by the 2nd sectional Attorney, now processed are designated to be part of a criminal gang, dedicated to the theft, in the form of the freight costs.

According to the Attorney Office, members of the police took advantage of the work of supervision in the banking area and troop information to those thefts materialized.

CTI members captured in Cali, Tulua and Bogotá to the possible involved, during four search and registration diligences, once a judge deliver the respective orders, upon request of the Prosecutor in the case.

In preliminary hearings, the judge legalized arrests and raids. Subsequently, the Attorney filed charges for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime, manufacture, trafficking or carrying of firearms or ammunition, aggravated theft, and personal injury.

The defendants are: Uribel Cifuentes Brown, superintendent of the National Police, the patrols Arturo Manuel Ramell Perez, Elizabeth Solano Andrés Cabal and Edgar Andres Ramirez; Similarly, the civil Flor Angela Reyes González.

These people, who did not accept charges, will meet the security measure in jail Villahermosa in Cali (Valle del Cauca), except Reyes González, who was granted house arrest.
