Pablo Villegas, legal representative of Lerida CDO company, that built the disappeared building Space in Medellin, will be called to interrogation by the Attorney General’s Office in connection with the murder investigation and personal injury that was initiated as a result of the collapse tragedy of this building.
The Attorney General’s Office, Eduardo Montealegre Lynett, said that began “a criminal investigation for murder and personal injury” to determine if there were responsibility of builders, engineers and technicians who designed this building and the authorities that allowed this type of construction.
“We will study if there was a technical fault in the building construction, there was structural flaws in the soils study, if the licenses were granted according to law” among others, Montealegre said, pointing out that some measures were made of collection of material evidence.
The decisions were based on the preliminary work by a (CTI) commission, formed by an engineer, an architect and a surveyor.
