The former governor of Boyacá, Miguel Angel Bermudez Escobar, accepted before the Criminal Room of the Supreme Court the charges imputed by the Attorney for malfeasance through action and contract without compliance of legal requirements.

According to research by the Unit of Delegates Attorneys to the Supreme Court in 2003 when Miguel Angel Bermudez served as Boyaca governor held a concession contract through the  finance Secretary  with Computers and Systems company, for the modernization of tax collection.

The alleged irregularities detected in the investigation are that through the contract process for concession No. 005 of 21 February 2003, created by resolution, as allegedly illegal a mechanism for collection of public resources, allowing proponents and later the contractor signing set fix the rate charged to users and to set the rate.

As exposed in the accusation resolution against the former Governor, with the tax sought to raise the money to pay the contract to the contractor firm that also fixed the price to be paid by taxpayers for  measures carried out before the Transportation Secretary, as fines and other payments.

At hearing before the formal start of the trial stage, Bermudez Escobar accepted the charges brought by the Delegates Attorneys Unit to the Justice Supreme Court, pending now that judges of the Criminal Court delivered judgment.
