Events such as those occurred yesterday where two football fans were murdered in a fighting with knives in different localities in Bogota, the Attorney General Eduardo Montealegre Lynett, during an academic conference, said that “it must not respond with the ever criminal policy of penalty increased, new crimes  creation and new criminal types, but with pedagogy in schools, citizen safety, teams responsibility  and more commitment and social responsibility of the companies that make this kind of events”.

Attorney Montealegre also emphasized in social responsibility that parents have to educate their children and prevent this type of behavior, and defended the Colombians and the football fans rights to enjoy peacefully in football stadiums, said that “the criminal behavior of a minority not can become collective sanctions” and called on Colombians and the Government to implement a coexistence policy of dialogue and respect for the sport and cultural diversity.

Those responsible of the two young murder, still fugitives, after being prosecuted could be punished with imprisonment for aggravated homicide over 20 years in prison.
