Before the Court of Justice and Peace in Bogota, the Prosecutor concluded yesterday, September 19, the imputation hearing against Ever Veloza García (HH), leader of the Banana and Calima Block of the AUC.

In the proceedings, a Prosecutor of the national unit for Justice and peace foisted charges for the crimes of enforced disappearance, forced displacement, gender violence, abusive sexual acts and illegal recruitment.

The hearing was carried in seven sessions simultaneously with the United States, from the prison of the State of Manhattan in New York, where Veloza Garcia is held, with 30 postulates from prison Villa Las Palmas de Palmira (Valle del Cauca), another 12 postulates from the maximum security prison of Itagüi (Antioquia) and one from the jail in Monteria.

The prosecution gave legality to the imputation made with patterns of macro-criminalidad. In addition, were charged 83 connotation acts by the character of the victim, among which there were indigenous, women, boys and girls, a journalist, trade unionist and a Dominican Republic citizen.

42 postulates were affected with security measure for crimes against humanity, war crimes and violations to IHL.

This case is part of the prioritization plan, presented by the Attorney General last July.
