The Office of the Attorney General  indicted charges to Martha Cecilia Alarcón Ramírez, Carlos Arturo Alarcón Ramírez, Ignacio Caballero Olivar and Juan Sebastián Caballero Alarcón, son of the latter, who are being investigated for the escape of a prisoner from La Picota jail, under the name of Alejandro Urrego Guerrero.

According to the prosecuting/accusing entity, the four suspects were at a house located at the following address carrera 12 No. 22-49 South, San José neighborhood in Bogotá. The vehicle in which Urrego Guerrero had escaped was discovered In this residence;  Alejandro Urrego Guerrero was rescued violently when he was at a medical check-up at a health center facility.

During the public hearing, the prosecutor charged them with the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and possession bearing weapons and ammunition for the exclusive use of the armed forces. None of them accepted the charges.

In the residence where the capture of this four people took place, the vehicle with plates RZS 330, rifles, submachine guns, pistols and abundant ammunition of different calibers, as well as a stun grenade, bulletproof vests, magazines, caps and overcoats were found.

During the legalization of capture, the judge found that the four detainees were caught red handed inside the residence.

Alejandro Urrego Guerrero was deprived of freedom since the 2nd of September 2011 when supervising and controlling guarantee judge 38 sent him to prison at a hearing that was held at San Blas Hospital, South of Bogota due to the fact that the prisoner was recovering from a wound in his left leg that he suffered during a clash with the police when the authorities intervened at a house robbery in Ciudad Montes neighborhood. Police Lt. Mario Gamboa Murcia died that day.
