Three individuals were ordered detained by First Penal Municipal Judge, acting as supervising Judge, in Tumaco (Nariño), while they await trial on narcotics charges.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Víctor Alfonso Arroyo Angulo, Antonio Mina Gamboa and Orlando Moreno Salas were caught in flagrante delicto by members of the Technical Investigation Team (CTI) of the Office of the Attorney General of Colombia, officers of the Sub Directorate of Judicial Police and Investigation of Colombia (SIJIN) in Nariño Department and officers of the Colombia Navy, when they were transporting, in a speedboat, 400 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride and 340 gallons of hydrocarbon from Ecuador.

In preliminary hearings, captures and material evidence were legitimized by judge. Afterwards, charges for the aggravated offense of manufacturing, trafficking and carrying narcotics were brought by the prosecutor’s office.

The defendants, who did not accept charges, must comply with the detention order in Bucheli prison, in Tumaco (Nariño), by determination of the judge.
