Edison Rodolfo Rojas, a/k/a Pichi, the ringleader of the Oficina de Envigado was ordered detained pending trial in a prison center by the Second Roving Criminal Court in Antioquia. He was charged with homicide of a bank official, who would have been killed by mistake.
On August 10, 2008, Elkin Vladimir Rivera Gonzalez was shot by hitmen on two motorbikes in Barrio Campo Valdés in the capital of Antioquia. The victim was also going on another motorcycle in the sector. In the action his wife, who was going as a passenger, was injured.
Accusation and request for pre-trial detention hearings were conducted by teleconference, because the accused is imprisoned in the Valledupar’s high security prison. A/k/a Pichi did not accept charges brought by the prosecutor’s office for the offence of homicide.
On February 11, 2013, Edison Rodolfo Rojas was captured in Panama and deported to Colombia, where he was pre-trial detained as alleged responsible for conspiracy to commit aggravated crime
