Eber Jhon Peñata Torres, a/k/a Guacharaco, alleged urban ringleader of the criminal gang Las Aguilas Negras (Black Eagles), was ordered detained pending trial in a prison center by the Second Criminal Municipal Court, acting as Supervising Court in Medellín (Antioquia), which admitted the request of the Prosecutor’s Office.

Peñata Torres, who is a demobilized individual from the Bloque Pacífico Héroes del Chocó de Las Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC), is prosecuted for aggravated conspiracy to commit crime, manufacturing, trafficking and carrying of weapons or ammunition of exclusive use of the Colombia’s Armed Forces or explosives.

During the arrest of a/k/a Guacharaco carried out last May 24th by members of the Dirección de Investigación Criminal – Policia Nacional de Colombia DIJIN, it was also achieved the arrest of Franklin Valencia Moreno, a/k/a Nene, and José Martínez Valencia, a/k/a Colorado, who were also covered in the mentioned pre-trial detention order for similar offenses.

None of the defendants were agree to accept the charges brought by the Prosecutor’s Office and they were being held in El Pedregal prison in Medellín.
