Properties with a value of a hundred thousand  million pesos were seized from the drug trafficker Pastor Perafán, as a result of an Attorney´s Office operation.

68 real estates and 18 companies, including the well-known Chinauta Resort located in Fusagasugá (Cundinamarca), will become property of the State, once the action of the Attorney’s Office is ratified by a judge, said Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Jorge Fernando Perdomo.

The process began in 2004 and currently, the 26th prosecutor from the National Unit for Confiscation of Goods and Asset Laundering has decided to issue a resolution of approval of assets seizure.

“These goods should pass into the hands of the State as they were acquired illegally or they were  used for the  commission of unlawful activities,” said Fernando Perdomo.

Perafán was captured on April 17, 1997 by the National Guard of Venezuela, in the city of San Cristobal/ Táchira.  Later that year, he was extradited to the United States on a DEA plane.
