Before the sixth criminal specialized Court of the circuit of Bogotá, the prosecutor’s office brought to trial José Miguel Castro Yagarí and Miguel Augusto Castiblanco Cruz as alleged perpetrators to injure 10 people, two of them children, after throwing a fragmentation grenade at the main road of the El Amparo neighborhood, at the South Bogota, on February 20, 2011.

The 16 Specialized Prosecutor of the Counter-Terrorism National Unit upheld the indictment for attempt and aggravated murder in consistent sequence of serial crime and manufacturing, smuggling and carrying arms and ammunition of exclusive use of the Colombian armed force.

The victims, doctors of the Hospital Occidente de Kennedy and police patrolmen in La Estanzuela neighborhood, who participated in the arrest operation of the two suspects, will be summoned as witnesses. The suspects continue in prison at the Model National Prison in Bogotá.
