The National Unit for Justice and Peace of the Office of the Attorney General handed over to the victims’ relatives, 18 skeletal remains belonging to persons killed by illegal armed groups during the period 2001 through 2004.

The remains, which were found in the departments of Tolima, Caldas, Bolívar and Santander, belong to 16 males, among them, a teenager of 16 years of age, and two females, one of them 14 years old.

Besides these cases, the Office of the Attorney established that 15 were victims of forced disappearance and afterwards killed. The other three individuals were a reported case of homicide.

The findings were achieved through information supplied by offenders nominated to the Justice and Peace program, who told where they had buried the missing persons
