5 million, 781 thousand US dollars counterfeit were seized in an operation carried out by the Technical Investigation Team (CTI) of the Office of the Attorney General in a tenancy in Cali city (Valle del Cauca).
At the raid and search proceeding carried out in a house located in Obrero neighborhood in Cali, 57,813 counterfeited 100 US dollars bills were found.
The false currency, exactly five million seven hundred eighty-one thousand three hundred US dollars (US$ 5.781.300), was hidden in two suitcases and a black bag.
