The exclusion of 354 demobilized nominees during the process of Justice and Peace will be requested by Colombia’s Attorney General Office, among them, eight AUC former commanders.

Among those who will be excluded, there are 271, whose whereabouts could not be established, and they have not appeared in court for hearings, proceedings or spontaneous declarations.

The potentials individual excluded are located by Departments as follows: Antioquia, 135; Atlantico, 6; Bolivar, 10; Córdoba, 34; Sucre, 6; Arauca, 17; Cesar, 4; Chocó, 2; Guajira, 1; Magdalena 7; Meta, 24; Nariño, 2; Norte de Santander, 2; Santander, 1; Valle del Cauca, 2; Caquetá, 1; Cundinamarca, 11; Huila, 1; and 5 no established.

Likewise, other 8 nominees will be excluded for failure to provide information about the perpetration of an offence or those who having been convicted in the ordinary courts, only confess that fact.

Similarly, there are 30 individuals convicted for crimes which were perpetrated post-demobilization process. They are located by departments as follows: Antioquia, 11, Caquetá, 1; Meta, 6; Nariño, 5; and Norte de Santander 7.

As to those who continued breaking the law from detention centers, there are 2 nominees in Cesar department. There is also proof that makes reconsider the membership of 3 nominees to the AUC structures who perpetrated offenses in Huila, 1; and Antioquia, 2.

Finally, there are 40 exclusion requests filed before Justice and Peace Courtrooms of the District Court in Antioquia, 14; Casanare, 1; Cesar, 1; Huila, 1; Meta, 7; Putumayo, 5; Santander, 10; and Valle del Cauca, 1.

Once such instances make decisions and they be confirmed, the 354 individuals excluded will lose the benefit of alternative sentences and will face proceedings in accordance with ordinary law, without any kind of reducing of sentence, and they will be exposed to punishments up to 60 years in prison.
