Today, maximum sentence has been requested by the Attorney General Office before the First Deputy Specialized Penal Court of the Circuit in Bogotá, acting as Presiding Court, against two of those individuals involved in the bomb attack on August 12, 2010 at carrera Seventh and 67st. located in Chapinero area of Bogotá.
The defendants identified as: Miguel Angel Bobadilla Prada and José Antonio Rivera Durán were prosecuted as improper perpetrators for the offences of terrorism, tempted and aggravated homicide, rebellion, and manufacturing, carrying and transport of explosives of exclusive use of the military forces.
During the final arguments of the oral trial, the Prosecutor in the case said that the material evidence demonstrated Bobadilla was responsible for contacting alias Jimmy, financial chief for the 33 front of the Farc, in order to disburse the money that the car bombing was financed.
Referring to Rivera Durán, the representative of the accusing entity affirmed that this person provided critical support for the crime commission since he was the individual who drove the vehicle to the place where the explosive was activated.
In the coming days, the Judge 1st will pass the judgment.
