After endorsing the plea bargain procedure held between the parties, Alberto García Sevilla, alias Móvil Nueve, has been sentenced to 23 years and 3 months imprisonment by the Attached Specialized Criminal Court of the Circuit of Quibdó for the kidnapping of four peasants and forced displacement of many peasants in Riosucio (Chocó).

On June 6, 2003, an armed command of the “Élmer Cárdenas” block of the AUC made an incursion into the village Nueva Esperanza of the aforementioned town and took, by force, Juan Francisco Pacheco Martinez, Deivis Jiménez Díaz, Lisandro Martínez and Cristobal Blandon Borja, who were several days in the hands of illegal individuals. The paramilitaries stole food and livestock.

García Sevilla, who is imprisoned in a high and medium security prison in Itagui (Antioquia), accepted the charges for the offences of kidnapping, aggravated conspiracy, forced displacement and illegal carrying of weapons of exclusive use of the armed forces which were brought against him by a Prosecutor of the National Unit Of Human Rights And International Humanitarian Law.
