At the request of a Prosecutor of Childhood and Adolescence, the First Criminal Court of the Circuit of Barranquilla for Adolescents, acting as Presiding Judge, handed down a custodial sanction for seven years in a specialized Center against a minor who was criminally responsible for the murder of Carlos Antonio Salas Benjumea.

The incident that led to this sanction occurred last July 21st in the neighborhood “Rebolo” in Barranquilla city, where the child took Salas Benjumea’s life, who was driving a public service bus.

The sanctioned minor committed the crimes of aggravated homicide, qualified theft in level of attempt, and manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of weapons, accessories, parts or ammunition, which were accepted by prosecution.

The sanction will be served at the Oasis Center of the capital of the Atlántico Department.
