Before Municipal Penal Judge 66 in El Tambo (Cauca), acting as Supervising Judge, defendants Alba Mery Menza Pavi and Johnny Rivera Betancourt were agreed to accept charges foist by the Attorney General Office for the offences of manufacture, trafficking and carrying of firearms or ammunition, rebellion and receiving stolen goods.
Members of the Technical Investigation Unit (“CTI”), supported by national army, arrested the above mentioned individuals in San Antonio village, El Tambo jurisdiction, where they were moving in a motor vehicle with plates CPJ- 747. At the time of the apprehension the authorities found in their possession 439 – 5.56 cartridges and documents regarding the Farc guerrilla group.
Defendants, members of the “Jacobo Arenas” mobile column, will abide the remand in custody in El Buen Pastor and San Isidro prisons in Popayán (Cauca).
