A juvenile judge in Bogotá pronounced a preventive custody detention against a minor for an allegedly action to adhere a lapa bomb on the motor vehicle used by the former Home minister, Fernando Londoño Hoyos, on last May 15. In this attack two persons were murder and another 48 civilians were injured.
The custody measure (equivalent to a remand in custody imposed to adults) was pronounced by a judge against the accused for the offenses of aggravated homicide, aggravated homicide in attempt level, personal injures, terrorism and criminal associaton. Charges were not agreed to accept by the minor.
This measure was requested by a prosecutor assigned to Children and Adolescents Unit, to whom was authorized for the parents of the minor to practice laboratory test such as blood test for comparison.
The judge ordered to National Police to dispose all the special measures for the minor, who will be detained in the Escuela de Trabajo El Redentor, while the trial against him will be scheduled.
