The 27 Municipal Penal Judge in Bogotá, acting as Supervisory Judge, pronounced a remand in custody to four alleged responsibles for the terrorist attack against former Home Minister Fernando Londoño Hoyos.

The Attorney General Office brought charges for the offenses of aggravated homicide, aggravated homicide at attempt level, criminal asociation, terrorist, using of minors in order to committed crimes, and dealing, manufacture and posession of firearms and explosives. Any of the defendants were not agreed to accept their responsability in such punishable behavior.

The counter terrorism prosecutor in charge of the case affirmed that: Ulises Castellanos Beltrán, César Augusto Ramírez Gómez, Nelson Eduardo Aguirre Castañeda and Fernando Collazos Aguirre on May 15, 2012 took part in the terrorist attack against Mr. Londoño Hoyos, when a Lapa bomb was exploded on a motor vehicle used by the former minister Londoño Hoyos and his bodyguards on 74 street and Caracas Avenue.

The explosion  caused the death of the driver José Ricardo Ramírez Rodríguez and the National Police bodyguard Rosemberg Burbano Ramos. Also, former minister and another 74 persons were wounded.

In accordance with the explanation given by the prosecutor in charge of the case, thanks to wiretapping, it was found several alleged responsible of the terrorist action which were detained during 15 house searches in Bogotá and Cali (Valle del Cauca).

The Supervisory Judge ruled the imprisonment of the four defendants and were transfered to La Picota prison in Bogotá. The minor is under custody by a competent authority.
